‘Sandwich Workshop’ – Food and Agribusiness Investment – 18 May – SOLD OUT

May 18 at 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

The Queensland Futures Institute’s 2017 ‘Sandwich Workshops’ are informal lunchtime sessions at which policy ideas are presented and debated.  It is an opportunity to network and engage in conversation and to contribute your thoughts and ideas on matters key to Queensland’s growth.

Our May 18 Workshop focusses on food and agribusiness investment.  Queensland has the largest area of agricultural land of any Australian state and is well-placed to benefit from our proximity to the growing demand for quality food from Asia. We are examining barriers and opportunities to attracting investment in food production and agribusiness expansion in Queensland.

Some of the questions raised will be:

  1. What are investment barriers in Queensland?
  2. What are the opportunities to enhance investment?
  3. What do you wish the food and agribusiness sector to look like in 10 years time?
  4. What is one issue that needs change to grow investment within the year?

Join us as we discuss how to foster food and agribusiness investment in Queensland.
