Inaugural President of the Queensland Futures Council Announced
The Queensland Futures Institute (QFI) is pleased to announce Julieanne Alroe, CEO and Managing Director of Brisbane Airport Corporation, as the inaugural President of the Queensland Futures Council.
The Council is the peak body that sets the strategic direction and priorities for the Queensland Futures Institute
The QFI consists of the Queensland Futures Council, which is made up of eminent Queensland leaders, an independent QFI Board, and a range of expert committees responsible for researching and developing policy outcomes to support Queensland’s growth.
As President of the Council, Julieanne will lead the Council towards its objectives of promoting Queensland’s growth and guiding the strategic agenda of the QFI.
Her senior role at BAC, which operates a critical tourism, trade and commercial hub for the State of Queensland, will lend enormous knowledge and experience to the activities of the Queensland Futures Council.
Julieanne was appointed as CEO and Managing Director at BAC in July 2009. In addition to this role, Julieanne currently holds board positions with Brisbane Airport Corporation Pty Limited, Australia TradeCoast, Tourism and Events Queensland, Urban Futures Brisbane and the Queensland Theatre Company. She is also the Chapter Chair of Creative Partnerships Australia is a Member of the Council of Governors of the American Chamber of Commerce QLD (AMCHAM) and is a Queensland State Advisory Council Member for the Committee for Economic Development of Australia (CEDA).
Julieanne has an extensive knowledge of and experience in commercial airport management and operations, infrastructure management, business and airport planning, corporate affairs, airport scheduling and slot management, security, passenger facilitation, terminal management and airport IT systems.
She has a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Queensland and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
